2002 Chev Tahoe - 5.3L P0218 FIXED

02 Tahoe with a 5.3 is giving me a scanner reading of 256 degrees for the transmission. I replaced the manifold pressure sensor that has the temp transducer built in. I have an electrical problem and can't find any values for the sensor. Anyone have typical resistance at 80 degrees? I substituted a known good internal harness and sensor and still get a high temp reading.

Is it a 60 or an 80? I'm guessing the temp is stuck there, yes?

again, as a rule when i have these little burps in gm.s before i start banging my head against a wall i watch all readings through a scanner. if i have more than one i'll reburn. if there is only one and it's not making any sense at all i'll do a quick continuity test and if it checks out then i'll reburn. i have had issues with the harnesses running down to the transmission where some idiot has pulled them away from the clips and never secured them or getting them hung up in replaced steel lines. i'm in n.e. and see that quite often. i'd love to say just reburn now but i think a bit of dick tracy is needed. i've also seen spiking alternators raise cain with these trannies. i have an 01 burban and was having fits with tranny issues. hard shift, drop outs, slow engagements, etc. was going crazy trying to figure this out. a buddy of mine from g.m. suggested i put an inline suppressor at the alternator. hadn't done this in years and it was hard to locate one, did and it worked............

Scanner value did not change while shorting temp sensor at computer terminal. New computer fixed it.
