1999 Chev 1500 PU - 4.8L Died; Runs MAF Unplugged?

Post by Holly »

We have a 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 that was towed into shop. Good fuel pressure with volumn & no codes. Unplugged MAF sensor, vehicle starts and runs. Replaced MAF with known good part, still only starts and stalls. Has battery reference and ground at MAF pigtail. Battery positive and 5 volt reference.

With MAF plugged in unplug 02 sensors and see how it runs. I've had three do this. For some reason when an 02 sensor shorts on these it shuts down that corresponding bank.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
