2010 Ford F250 - 6.4 Diesel Issues?

Post by asample »

I have a customer looking at a 2010 F250 6.4L diesel. Has been told that these have inherent issues. I don't do much diesel work and couldn't answer his question. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanx,
Arlin

Well, we tell our customers like this: Go ahead get these trucks, be it the 6.0L or the 6.4L. They are great for business. They perform well when they are running but when they don't run - it'll cost dear. Truth be told, we work on more Fords than all the other diesels put together. In FORD training class a few years ago the instructor told us that these engines were designed broke. Whatever that means.
