2001 Ford F250 SD 7.3L - Wire Question
I have this truck here, I pulled the rookie mistake and misplaced where this wire goes. To many long days with I guess. I think it goes from the turbo y pipe post that I have in the picture to a ground on the intake cover head, which is the last pic. Bolt is in lower right corner of pic.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

The first picture is the intake pressure switch I think. Looking at the wire I'm thinking it's a power feed since it's insulated that way. Possibly a lead off of the glow plug relay's. I don't have a 7.3 in the shop right now but a tow service I use has one. If they show up here I'll have a look. Does it feed off of the alternator? It may come off of the stud on the alternator to a feed, possibly to the glow plug relay.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

It does not feed off the alternator, I know that. This is what happens when you take something apart and come back to it 5 days later, without proper marking! Memory loss as I get older also.

The best I remember that wire is the ground wire for the intake heater. It goes a stud on the drivers side, I think.
Working hard to prove the Green Team can do it with the best of 'em.

That wire goes on the stud of the intake heater first then a ceramic insulator then the power wire form the relay with the nut made on it.
I am fairly certain that is correct.....

That is what I was thinking and it would make sense, but I don't like melting wires if I don't have to.
