2010 Ford F150 - Front Brakes Uneven Wear

Post by Jeff @ Able Auto »

I have a 2010 F150 VIN 1FTFX1CV5AFA54847 that came in for brakes. Customer complaint was pulsation and weak brakes. Found left front wheel near locked up. Both sides inner pads worn as tho they were only hitting on the 2 inches closest to the hub. Rotors gouged to match. At first glance it appeared to have the pads cocked in the anchor/slides. This is a northern vehicle and I see these kind of problems this time of year. Installed 2 new rotors and pads with hardware. Lube slide, etc. When it is all bolted back together the wheels lock, left worse than right. Check M1 for TSB, none. Googled and found Ford Bulletin ASI-22234. NHTSA 10044211. Just a heads up for ya'all.
