2007 Lincoln MKX P115e

Post by Tim Martin »

I have this 2007 Lincoln MKX with a VIN of: 2LMDU88C57BJ35633 and 96,000 miles on it. The issue is that intermittently it will have a high idle if 1400rpm. It also has a DTC of P115E that I cannot erase. Both Mitchell and Identifix do not provide any info on this code. Has anyone seen this before? If so, where do I go for a diagnosis and service information?

Hi Tim,

You might have already resolved this, but there is information in ProDemand for P115E. I'm not as mechanically knowledgeable as some others here, but the description matches your symptoms.

Yes, Dan is correct. It's P115e, NOT p0115e. It's basically saying that the throttle body has reached it's max compensation for adjustment. Check your TB and clean it, Reset adaptives and see where you are. Should be good.

Well fellows, that explains why I couldn't find any info. Let me see what I can do with this now. I guess, I'm getting too old for this stuff. Been doing it since 1968. Soon time to hang it up. This technology is wearing me down. Will post what I come up with.

Thanks to you two!!
