Did u look inside tank? maybe a baffle came loose and is holding the sending unit float down so it cant go any higher than 3/4?

Did u order the sending unit for the right size tank? If you order a 40 gal sender for a 30 gal tank it may only show 3/4 tank.

Going out on a limb here. Check to see if it has a "slosh module" it replaced the IVR on the back of the Instrument Panel. IVR looked like a 9 volt battery plug in. Slosh Module is an electronic shock absorber.

resistor in the back of the cluster. i believe it just pops on with connectors like a 9v battery has.

Does it have single or dual tanks? I'm assuming single, but I got to ask first.
