2001 Ford Ranger - 4.0L Fuel Vent?

Post by RODNEYY »

i recently installed a new fuel pump and filter. Ever since i installed these parts whenever the customer tries to put gas in it, the fuel backs out the top of fill neck. I have check fill tube and vent tube for restrictions, there was none. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The rollover protection valve and fuel vent valve are built into the fuel pump module on this I believe. It's likely you have a defective unit. I'd pull the pump and check.
