2003 Dodge PU - 4.7L Code P0601

Just completed a repair on an 03 Dodge truck, 4.7L. Head Gasket replacement. Following the repair--code P0601--Internal Memory Checksum Invalid was present. I cannot find much information about this code. Customer claims the light wasn't on before the repair. Vehicle was hydrolocked when it came to us so it didn't run. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Checksum errors usually mean PCM, but check the cam and crank sensors carefully. If they check out, it needs a PCM. Remember that PCM's are covered 8/80 on these.
