you'll only bang you head on the first one. after that you'll know what it is when you pull it into the shop. again i'll take this time to repeat "use dealer parts only and replace the plate", the after market ones just don't seem to work. the ones that i installed all came back for a redo. the gasket squeezed out on all of them and they were installed correctly.

When I worked at the Chrysler dealership, we replaced so many of the belly pan gaskets under the intake manifold. The original gasket was paper and the replacement was metal. Once metal gasket was installed, the problem would not return. The quickest way to detect if the gasket had been sucked in creating the internal vacuum leak, was to open the throttle plates and check for oil. Any oil detected, yank the intake and replace the belly pan gasket. Did one to two of these a week on the 5.2 and 5.9 engines.
