2005 Dodge Ram 1500, 4X2.
Sensor 2 in the throttle position sensor failed. Replaced pedal/sensor assembly but the same result is present. Dealer claims it has to be reset by them as the ETC sets all of the voltages and the like. Really?
Who has dealt with this before and is a reset by the dealer necessary?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Throttle Pedal Replacement '05 Pickup
I believe a snap on scanner will reset this, ran into it before.

Re: 2005 Dodge 1500 - Throttle Pedal Replacement
i know a snap on scanner will reset all programmable memories but i'm not sure it will program the read on the throttle. i tried t look up the program but either there isn't much or without the codes i'm not seeing it. i'm a bit confused because as far as i can see the accelerator pedal is called the a.p.p. sensor and the t.p.s. is called that. a bit more information would help me. i looked it up and there were three engine selections on this particular model. the app is only listed on the V6, my third choice. as far as relearns go the newer scanners are more and more capable of doing them.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
