Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
Daniel - please check to see if this got toggled off:

.
Yes, that had been toggled off, so it was toggled on again and the program was restarted but the symptoms are still the same on an existing work order.
But I did discover that when changing job specific category on a newly added job, the system works as designed for only the first time the job category is changed but not again after that (ie if the category was improperly assigned in the first place) ... hopefully this makes sense.

Yes, I follow what you mean. This is as designed. The suggested workflow is to use the Job Category selection in the final phases of work - it's a quick way to set missing categories, but we even debated going this far (thus the option).
Nothing is set in stone, so we'll be evaluating feedback on it over the coming months and possibly tweaking the behavior.

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
We have a fix for the incomplete VIN on Job View Headers available now. We will be including this fix in the next update but in the meantime please follow the instructions from https://kb.mitchell1.com/articles/how-t ... ew-header/ so you can use the updated reports right away.Silky7 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:38 amWe're working to address this. Keep an eye on this thread next week - support will likely post when a fix is available.dtsservice wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 5:47 amI am missing VIN digits on our printed invoices. The last 8 are there, and the first 5. Missing the 4 digits in the middle. Any one else having this issue?

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
When adding a item from the quick menu canned job is there away to auto make a new job instead automatically just going into the existing job.
How it works now
How we would like it to work

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
I would also like that change! While were at it I have a couple other issues/bugs with the update.
1. When you add multiple revisions it puts them all under the same job.
2. I don't like how it auto fills the job title in on non canned jobs. Wouldn't be bad if it was just a couple words but it fills in the entire labor description
4. Would be nice fi it automatically put the labor at the top of each job. Just reads nicer on the finished invoice
3. Would be nice if you could select and unselect jobs from the total price (like you can in the revisions sell screen) That way if a customer doesn't want to do a particular job you can just remove that from the total price on the fly.
Thats all for now... Def have some additional things that take some time getting use to but those are the big ones!

#1 is definitely a bug we're working to address. The ability to select/unselect jobs for preview of adjusted total pricing was a feature I wanted to get in, but we didn't have enough time. I'm still keeping it on the list though!

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
On some RO's the three dots are not on the end and I cannot delete the extra blank job.
Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
That's odd. Perhaps try changing the font size/option or the column widths? See if it reappears?BenjaminPeterson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 8:29 amOn some RO's the three dots are not on the end and I cannot delete the extra blank job.

If not, please do reach out to our support so they can record the issue.

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
I have found with #1 on my list that if I drag and drop the different jobs to a new order it does separate them. Not exactly a fix but better then retyping the jobs.
Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
I also see "no updates available" even though I'm at 8.5.3.1226. Called support today for a different issue and he pretty much 'got onto me' for not updating. My dad isn't good with computers so I said I'd call back another time. HAHAHAHA

Re: Manager SE 9.1 Job View release
Hello - Support agent looking into this; says "If their host OS is win 7 or server 2012 it won't prompt or allow them to update."
Do you know which version of Windows you're running?
EDIT: Support says the Check For Updates should be done on the Host computer and not one of the workstations. The agent misunderstanding is being addressed on our side.

Howdy! Yea, I understand now it's a server issue on our end. M1 files need to be ran manually. I may just have your team handle it so there's no issues caused by me. They call me Chaos Coordinator for a reason... it's a fun life.
Edit/Follow-up: SHOUT OUT to the helpful folks in support. They handheld with utter kindness and offered some work arounds, if needed, due to a delayed costly replacement of our server.
