2000 Acura TL - Immobilizer

Post by ricmorin »

Has anyone programmed keys to a new PCM? I'm replacing the PCM and I have a Mastertech with Honda factory card. I've never programmed keys to a Honda before. Factory card's less than intuitive.

I just did one.

First of all, you need a card with immobilizer enabled. Second you need a 4 digit PCM code from the dealer. Then you enter the code and tell it how many keys you are programming. Note that it can only program real Honda keys, not the Ilko keys or keys with T5 stamped on them. Then just follow the prompts on the MT. I installed a new PCM, programmed and road tested in .30! Done!!
