Doesnt the key's transponder need to be coded for this vehicle? I would think it does being it's an 08

Not sure, the old key was key and fob together, the replacement switch and lock does not and can I use my snap on to reprogram

Did you replace the lock cylinder or switch?

You need to program all the keys if you replaced the lock cylinder. Replacing just the switch requires no special programming other than what you've already done. You'll need a scanner capable of this and the pcm code along with ALL keys.

Another point that may be overlooked is a remote starter. If it has one there may be a key reader in line with the old programmed key in it. If it does this will need replacement as well.
