2005 Nissan Sentra - 1.8L Gas Pedal Don't Work
We have a 05 sentra here with a 1.8L and from time to time the gas pedal will make the car move. Can not get any codes for it it does have a o2 sensor code. The t/b has been replaced and the gas pedle sensor.

Re: 2005 NISSAN SENTRA GAS PEDAL DONT WORK
When you say gas pedal doesn't make the car move, do you mean when you press on the pedal the throttle under the hood doesn't move - or do you mean the vehicle has no power and wont move when accelerating? Could be different things depending on your answer.

Did you replace the t-body and the pedal sensor to try to fix this problem, or did the problem occur after these parts were replaced?

Re: 2005 Nissan Sentra - 1.8L Gas Pedal Don't Work
I had one of these that had a rub through on one of the wires to the throttle body. Only messed up in gear when then engine moved slightly and caused the short. I scoped the signal and saw the drop-down, so I knew what was happening. Then it was a matter of finding the short.
I'd scope the signals during the failure to see if anything looks wrong.

mmmmmmmmmmmm something is trying to force itself to the surface here. is there any stored codes? if there are any codes stored the relearn will not work. to see if it's an issue like ric said take cable off transmission and see if the pedal fails when you put the shifter in drive. if you can rev it then as it's racing have someone rock engine back and forth and see if it stumbles. if not then put cable back on and unplug neutral safety switch and see what happens. i think i read something about this in a motor magazine or something along those lines where a sensor in the transmission will cause an issue like this.
