possible bleed down because of a bad regulator.......................

At this point I wouldn't be doing much until I could recreate the condition.

BTW, Nissan revised the revised fuel pump module on those. The latest number is 22670-ZG80C. The previous number was 22670-8U70C. I've had to do them twice on the same vehicle. Maybe they'll get it right eventually.

upon rereading the post i need to ask a few questions. #1, was the vehicle running fine after the pump was replaced until it acted up again? when the pump was replaced was it done as a module or a take apart and replace pump and sensor? i've seen more that one or two wiring issues at the plug and since it was disturbed when the pump was replaced take a good look for any signs of over heated connectors. lie ric pointed out, make your repair after you've diagnosed the problem during a failure.

I assume you checked the simple things like tune-up parts. When it doesn't start what is lost, spark or fuel?
