Wow. Do I feel foolish. This one is fixed.

The code and the non operation of the window were NOT related.

The code was there because the window had not been initialized. You cannot clear this code (would've been good to know). This code will only go away after you initialize the window.

As for the non operation, the lock-out switch apparently locks out the rear window as well and was accidentally pressed by me at some point in time. I never considered this because the only manual way to operate that window is from the drivers location or with a key from outside the vehicle. There's really no need to lockout the rear window too.

If you'll excuse me, I have a whole bunch of pie to eat.

Yeah. That's how I feel. Sometimes the answer is right in front of you. These are times where you're reminded how human you can be.

Kudos go out to this forum. I also posted a tech help request on Iatn and didn't get near the response I got from here. Special thanks go out to sbebenelli for going the extra mile and supplying me with some very valuable information.

Sorry I wasn't part of this. Was up to my ears with "fun" stuff. Isn't it amazing how we miss obvious resolutions from time to time. Personally, if I were to pen all I've run across it would make War And Peace look like a three chapter short story. It seems the longer between "incidents" the more difficult they are to find. A kind of twisted situation we get in from time to time. If it was brought in for rear window inoperable looking at lockout would be right near the top of your diagnostic flow. Ever replace a bad battery with a defective one and then spend hours upon hours trying to find a draw that's killing it? Been there, done that. Sounds like a State Farm commercial.
