2008 ish Toyota Tundra Rear D/S boot

Post by fortknoxx »

We have a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Driveshaft boot missing. Vehicle is under warranty. Vehicle purchased used a few months ago. Customer took it to Toyota. Toyota wants customer to buy a new d/s. They claimed vehicle has been off roaded and abused. This truck has not been abused. Toyota does not sell the boot, ya gotta buy the whole drive shaft. The shaft is spicer. Spicer has a boot pn but it's on back order.

If you wouldn't mind, would you check any Tundras that come in. See how close the boot is to the exhaust, and if it is showing signs of heat strain. And let me know.
Thanx

sorry it took so long. there were no real issues with the shafts and i was told that taking it off road shouldn't have been an issue. if it were bent then a different story.......
