2006 Toyota RAV4 - A/C Doesn't Work

Post by wagnerautoservice »

2006 TOYOTA RAV4 LIMITED, A/C BLOWS WARM, COMPRESSOR CLUTCH ENGAGES BUT DOES NOT PUMP FREON. GAUGE LOW & HIGH SIDE DON'T CHANGE. REPLACED COMPRESSOR; WORKED FOR TWO DAYS, NOW SAME AS BEFORE.

May be an issue with a bad expansion valve causing the compressor to overwork or any of a few other issues nort excluding sensors being bypassed.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Sounds like a defective compressor. If it was working before, you know the rest is reasonable. Maybe some debris got into the compressor? We use a filter any time we replace a blown compressor for just that reason. We also flush what we can just to be safe.
