Audi A6 - Rr Disc Brakes = New To Me

Post by onetonf350 »

I'm skeptical if I want to get into this one for my first electronic brake car. Not too far into procedures it starts hooking up scan tools to the computer that I do not have. What do I really need to know before servicing the brakes here?

Can I get a little bit more of "ME" in the monitor?

Sorrry for the late reply but if you do not have the proper scan tools stay away from it. I've read horror stories about techs's stripping calipers and as the module triggering the caliper crushing fingers.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

I'll take that as good advise. We only have a modis as our main diagnostic scanner. how much for the tool i wish I also had?

The modis and verus if running the same update have the same exact scanner capabilities

I'm not sure what happened there but yeah Verus, Modis, Solus, Verdict have the same scanner functions if using the same update. I just traded my Modis in on the new Solus ultra. Before doing so I spent hours on iATN and Snap On Diagnostics. This thing is FAST and uses no keys. Boots up in 5 seconds. I bought a Vantage Pro a couple months ago knowing I'd be getting rid of the Modis in the future. I love having a scope and scan tool separately.
