Crazy. Yesterday I entered info on a Airstream Motor home. New to the customer. It already had 96823 in it for "Prev odom".

Dave,

We're looking into this. I'm awaiting information from our development team on the odometer value calculations. I'll let you know when I have an update.

I have 5.9.5.250 and have noticed this before also.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

6.5.54
invoice 28512 (only invoice in history)
History odometer 284196
date:11/10/2014
Invoice #26897

Just started new Ro, shows prev odom as 27164.

Checked to see about mileage on other cars this guy owns to see if mileage had ":jumped". He has no other history other than #26897.

No, thats kinda of what I thought. Maybe i had opened vehicle "A" that had that mileage, and when i switched to vehicle "B" it just kind of followed.

He had one other car in history. A 1988 Mercury Cougar. This vehicle has NO history and does not have and info other than VIN, plate, YMM. It appears that this vehicle was transfered from out other system (back in about 2005). I checked history for the customer and only show invoice #26897. And that is for the Jetta.

6.5.57

Swymeler
2010 Escape
01/23/2015 Miles, 52659
07/10/2015 Miles are 58116
Prev odo shows 72702

(Looking things over to see if i can find a triggering event. The only thing I find that is not correct in vehicle info is that the State/Prov did not get filled in.)

New to the system. How do I take out and incorrect odometer reading. I had an invoice where we put in the current odometer reading. The system said it was under the previous odometer reading - clearly someone had put in an extra number somewhere. So, I un-posted all 3 previous invoices with intention to put them in all again correctly but strangely the computer kept the same "previous odometer" reading that had been causing the problems AND it was using that same reading for ALL "previous odometer" readings on ALL of the invoices. I tried going in and removing the default feature that flags you if you have no odometer reading but even still it won't let me just by pass putting in an odometer reading so now I can post the previous invoices again nor can I post and close the current one. ??????Now what?

Correction to that posting - That was I cant take out AN incorrect odometer reading not (and) and that last sentence was to say I CANT post the previous invoices now due to the high odometer reading.

Your welcome. As you get to hang out more in the forums you will get to know that I am pretty well known for my searching abilities. As as you get to know us all more you will understand what a crock of poo that last statement was.

None-the-less your up and running. Now grab your stuff and head home before your hubby changes his mind.

Rich, you did so well yesterday, may I pick your brain again? Searched for subject on write-offs - nothing. We did a "comeback" repair and found where a previous employee had made a small error on last repair so we warrantied the labor and the small dollar part. I applied a 100% discount to the labor and part but I noticed on the RO there was no sales tax assigned to the part only parts and Labor. I did not tell it to not assign sales tax, in fact, I checked and the box was checked to calculate tax as it should. The RO showed up on Posted Orders, Non-Taxable Orders and in the Discounted Orders Reports. The problem is even though I am normally tax exempt, in this case, since MY shop is responsible, we must pay the tax because the state could care less the circumstance only that somebody owes tax on that part. I need the system to assign tax. Now, I may be going about the process all wrong to begin with but I couldn't find a forum addressing that so I attempted the 100% route. I need to account for write-offs in labor, parts and tax because that is a loss I must keep up with but, more importantly, those parts must be accounted for and sales tax paid. Your thoughts?
