For certain it must have a FULL Windows operating system, not a lite version or any other type.

Googling that item # I get "Operating System Version: Windows 8.1 Pro " which is good-to-go.

Manager SE is compatible with Windows 8.1. Manager 5.9 isn't (installation).

If you're on Windows 7 now, there's no real reason to upgrade to 8.1. You'll have the option to jump straight to Windows 10 in another couple of months, and it will be free, unlike a move to 8.1.

Also, in response to the OP topic, as of this published date for anyone wondering, the Surface Pro 3 is a fully-functional tablet, and will run our products and websites like a computer.

Sorry, I am on 5.9 yet, I meant upgrade that to the new manager. I was also just looking at the Surface, so that is good to know that it will work with Manager fully.

I got an Acer Switch Tablet that came with a keyboard.

It has Windows 8.1, 128 SSD (slate drive which is on the tablet part) 4gb Ram its a 11.6 Inch Screen I paid around $389, I am fan of it, I do recommend a blue tooth mouse.

Does this need to have 8.1 pro or just 8.1?

Just 8.1. Pro allows you to use a domain, which is not supported by Mitchell1.
