Workstation

Post by katie042 »

We have a Host station and a workstation (where the Mitchell program is on my laptop) as well as on the computer for the Service Manager, My question is, is there anyway to access the Mitchell program when I take this laptop home for reporting purposes? I have the option to do work at home and would like to know if access is possible.

Thank you

When the laptop is disconnected from the shop's network, Manager SE which is installed on your laptop is then no longer able to see the database. The application won't even start. The easiet method is to use something like GoToMyPC. GoToMyPC allows you to connect to the other workstation in the shop as if you were sitting in front of that machine. It is a relative inexpensive piece of software.

I do this regularly using the built in Windows Remote Desktop.

That also works well, a bit more difficult to setup, but it works great.
