Hello, I am in the process of selling my shop to another long-term Mitchell1 user. The buyer is having difficulty getting solid answers from customer service (specifically, account representative, Linda ext 2010).
I, as well as the buyer would like to know that my sure critic reviews will transfer with my Mitchell1 account to the new buyer. The buyer is not changing anything on the account as far as Manager, Pro-Pack, eCRM, etc.
Also, approximately how long will the transition take on the phone with tech support? I was told to call Friday afternoon (after sale closing) and they (tech support) will be able to do the transition with both the buyer and I present. I need to make sure this happens Friday so the buyer is all set to go Monday morning.

Re: Changing Shop Ownership
Okay I made an inquiry to check the score and received this reply:
" It's going to take me about an hour. I have to check with a couple different departments to answer all the questions. The call to Linda is being listened to. She is in Sales not Customer Care. Sales is required in change ownership because of the new contract to the new owner. To the tech support question, it depends on if they need a new install for MGR SE. If it’s already installed literally 5 minutes. If they need a DB replaced, 15-30 minutes. If they are expecting to merge 2 databases, that’s not possible. (surely not!)
This sounds to me like we are simply putting the new owner's account number into your existing Manager SE and then authenticating it and changing the shop data setup (name, etc) correct?

Re: Changing Shop Ownership
Update #2 for OFFERMAN AUTOMOTIVE INC
New account: Contract has not been sent back yet. Linda’s supervisor will reach out to the customer to finish the change of ownership.
Sure Critic: The new owner needs to tell the CRM support agent that they want to keep the reviews from the old owner and CRM will merge the old reviews and the new reviews.

Re: Changing Shop Ownership
Thank you, Tim! We are simply looking to change business names as Manager SE is currently installed and running. Offerman Automotive, Inc. will become Legendary Automotive and Truck Service, LLC. I will reach out to my CRM rep to discuss Sure Critic.
Thanks again!

Glad to help. Sounds like the new owner needs to confirm on the SureCritic reviews angle.Offerman22 wrote:Thank you, Tim!
