Name Changes when labels are printed

Post by Heidi5 »

I have a handful of customers where the wife and husband have different last names. On their accounts I have it set up with 1 spouses name under "First" name and 2nd spouses name under "Last" and I add the "&" symbol. On the invoices it prints perfect however, when I print labels (Christmas Cards) the name is all screwed up. Why does it change and how can I stop it?

We would need to see some examples to see what is going on, but you're inputting the data in a way the system was not designed for. Likely the label formatting is a little different than the invoice. You cannot change the label formatting easily. I suggest you either hand write those affected labels or export the data to an Excel file and manipulate the fields that way. We send cards like this and we try to hand write the envelopes. It's a nice personal touch.

Thank you Ric,

We mail out 750 Christmas cards...I will hand write the 10 that are an issue. That's how much "Personal Touch" I am willing to do out of 750....lol
