You mean everyone doesn't have 27"+ monitors at every station??Silky7 wrote:Having an indicator count with unread text messages shouldn't be a problem. Our biggest challenge currently is finding a good place in the UI for it.
If you're on a higher resolution screen, it looks like there's plenty of room, but for our customers on older displays, things get tight.

Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
I'm getting ready to put a 27" monitor in the shop. I have a 22" TV I'm using now. We have a Snap On VERUS workstation with a 27" monitor that works good for looking at wiring diagrams. It spoiled me. Now anything under 27" looks small.

You bet. Our smallest monitor is a 27. Got 32's in the office. Going to a 42 soon.sbebenelli wrote:I'm getting ready to put a 27" monitor in the shop. I have a 22" TV I'm using now. Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
I'd be happy if i could "split" Mitchell and use it on two monitors, work two ROs at the same time. (with the same keyboard and mouse)
Dual monitors.....hard to believe any one operates with out them.
Can't wait to get the update. We get the warnings its ready, I am gonna stay late and load 'er up.

Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
My SA does this now. She remotes into an unused workstation and starts another instance of Manager. And you can control 2 machines with a single keyboard and mouse without hardware using Microsoft's Mouse Without Borders. I do that now between my office PC and the CCTV PC. It's cool.Rich wrote:I'd be happy if i could "split" Mitchell and use it on two monitors, work two ROs at the same time. (with the same keyboard and mouse)

Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
I'm not sure how others have their monitors mounted in the shop. I have mine above my tool box on the wall. I thought about going with 32" but thought it might be too big.

Thank you. I see I need to clean the cable management up.ricmorin wrote:Very nice!!
This post has gotten off topic but I hate to start a new one since we have started talking about monitors here.
Do you prefer a monitor with a glossy screen or a none glossy one in a shop environment? I always felt like a glossy one would be too reflective but our VERUS workstation is glossy and doesn't seem bad.

Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
It depends on the angle of the offending light. Glossy seems to be the direction manufacturers are headed in. I prefer a matte finish but glossy is easier to clean.sbebenelli wrote:Thank you. Re: Workstation Monitor Setups
Upgraded to a 32". It was basically the same price as a 27". Now the 22" seems tiny.
