Closed Invoices Reopen Themselves?

We have been finding an increasing amount of posted invoices that magically reopen themselves and end up on the WIP screen as an open work order. At first I thought my bookeeper was doing something incorrectly but it has happened to me as well. There doesnt seam to be any correlation. After a random amount of time, some random posted orders reopen themselves and I am finding myself having to go back through payments to find which open work orders are indeed false.

I have yet to run across this. The only way a posted invoice can be reopened is within the history file. How many people are using the program?

There is four of us that use the program and two of our guys do not even know how to unpost an invoice. I showed them to make sure that it was not them and it does not seem to be operator error. This has been happening for less than a year as well and we have had the program since 2006.

I figured I would wake up this post and see if anyone has found a fix. It has been a few years now and I still have closed invoices reopening themselves and still havent found a correlation. I've called tech support and they have not been able to help. Anybody?

Very strange. I've had the program since 2003 and never have I seen that happen.

If you are running posted invoices report nightly, I suggest you look at that report the next time an invoice 'unposts' to make sure that it really was posted in the first place. Second, I would password protect the unposting feature so that only 1 person can do that.

I've never looked at a posted orders report. maybe I will start printing them and see if I can find a correlation. Thank you
