Release notes are always viewable for any release by clicking on the "What's new in this release" button on the home splash screen. Ric gave you the incremental changes from 8.2.1.79 (because he was in the beta for 8.2.1.79), but those are applicable to this version as well.

Release notes are always viewable for any release by clicking on the "What's new in this release" button on the home splash screen. Ric gave you the incremental changes from 8.2.1.79 (because he was in the beta for 8.2.1.79), but those are applicable to this version as well.

Correct however, it would be beneficial to see Release Notes posted somewhere prior to installing. This provides us with insight as to what changes are in the release prior to the upgrade and enables us to make a more intelligent decision as to upgrading now or wait on a follow-on release.

MPI Sharing template changed to require more than just a MPI URL - reduce likelihood of carrier flagging message as SPAM
Text Message center updated to include support for Canadian phone numbers
New setting to customize and automatically change Order status or Appointment status when the other changes. Setup->Standard Descriptions->Status->Status Map
Email field on customer screen can be directly edited when first setting up a customer. Afterwards, must utilize the email editor dialog to add/remove additional email addresses
Report Changes
Can now assign report password (in Report/Printer Setup) to control access to online reports
New MPI usage report: Reports->Management->Multi-Point Inspection Usage. Shows number of MPI reports done, passed/failed items, as well as order totals tied to MPIs.
Category Profit report now shows negative part / labor amounts
Mail Merge report now includes VIN
Balance Due Statement DblVu #9 updated to show correct page count
Michigan Invoice Report updated to meet state requirements

Configurable Database Validations (Configuration->Special Maintenance->Database backups and validations) - checks and warns for problems in database that can lead to data corruption. Issues encountered will require technical support.

Removed extraneous Backups during application updates causing large backup file
Settings sometimes not saving during program usage. Settings will be correctly saved now - should make all main Setup Settings changes while on the main background screen. Settings will refresh when you open a Repair Order
Scheduler refreshing and appointment loading speed improved
Canned Jobs search no longer crashes when encountering invalid description value
Fix various issues related to saving dates when Windows system locale set to other than US format
Fixed crash when going to electronics parts ordering and a previously selected vendor no longer exists
When decoding a VIN, any values entered in Unit#, Color, and Memo remain - no longer clear
Prevent large database backup size caused by updating DMV data
