Back up issue?

Post by Rich »

Is this a bad thing? Perhaps it is caused by us not shutting the system down nightly?

Ours is saying the same thing since yesterday
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

I occasionally get a yellow warning. Red is worse. I contact support if it lasts more than 24 hours.

All,

Sorry I didn't get to this last week. We had an internal switch failure Thursday night and spent most of Friday working to get various servers back up. This was one of the last ones, but hopefully that has cleared up now.

I have that same warning today. Usually it's gone in a day or so.

Good that it's working again for most of you.

Just to explain a little bit more - a yellow state on sync downs isn't a concern for most users right now. The primary feature using that mechanism is the online appointment form for CRM customers using the interactive scheduler. The yellow state indicates simply that there haven't been any attempted sync downs in 72 hours. It should stay mostly green since there's a heartbeat component that should tell the servers your client is capable of receiving sync down messages.

If it goes red for any significant period, then it would be a good idea to check in with support.

So I guess maybe a really stupid question......

Does this have anything to do with our data back ups?

That is what I was concerned with. I know my luck, if your back ups are broken we will surely have a HD problem soon.

No, this is a good question, Rich. That part that says Sync Up IS indeed your backup status with us. If it were red for a significant period of time, it would also be a good idea to contact our support.
