Follow Up Lists

Post by artadot »

When I delete a customer from the follow up reports the cursor or highlighted line goes to the top of the page, I then have to scroll down and find where I left off, is there any way of changing it so that the cursor just goes to the next customer in the list, I sometimes have to edit lists that have over 100 names on it and find it very time consuming to have to find where I left off

Thank you for also noticing this. I wanted to mention it before but forgot....and yes, very aggravating.

Yes, we have noticed this too... very aggravating... especially when you have a long list... It would also be nice if this list would have a way to click on the customer or vehicle & it will bring up the customer's account. We have to look up info sometimes-- recommend & other research. Being able to just point & click would be a huge help. Thanks, ARS

I agree, that would save a lot of time, I have to do the same thing.

Just wondering on if this has been fixed... I just did 3 sets of reports with at least a 100 names-- & we deleting about 40 of the names for one reason or another... very frustrating.

Still running 6.4.612 because we have not seen our 6.5 yet.

Thanks, ARS

The focus problem with the followup screen is in the hopper to be worked by development. Unfortunately there have been other issues that consume the bandwidth. We do listen and it is slated to be fixed. I would like to get things like this fixed sooner - but it's always a matter of priority any issue with the software has to get into the schedule.

Along with these follow-up lists... I am sending out post cards for oil change reminders. (i know we can text.. which we do..but we also send out postcards because some people do want texts or we just have their home number).. anyway.. I had a customer that has many vehicles with us. The list has 3 vehicles listed, but he already got an oil change for one of them. If I delete that one vehicle off of the list then then all vehicles & that Customer gets deleted off of the list. So I have to keep that wrong vehicle on the list & print labels for that wrong vehicle.. When you repeat this process with many different customers.. it adds up to wasted labels & postcards & letters. (for other follow-up things).

So if it could be fixed so that when we delete a vehicle off of the list it does not delete the other vehicle for the same customer-- that would be great...

Thanks, ARS

The list results is always shown as customers; what criteria (service dates, category, etc.) is used to generate the LOF postcards? (we've got to get that vehicle filtered out of consideration)

Reports> Follow-up lists> recommends for work > Recommends- service date from 10-1-14 to 10-15-14 category- LOF.

Under history we check the spot for print for each vehicle instead of print for each customer ( i think this is where the issue lies)

That might suggest that 'By Vehicle' is behaving like 'By Customer'. Will have to look at this more.
