EOD Reports?

Post by KGA »

Has anyone else run into this, I tried searching but didn't see anything.
When I try and print the end of day report, it says its sent to my printer but doesn't print. i check my printer to see whats printing and it says has an error message when trying to print that report. Everything else works in shopkey when I try printing it only this issue. Any ideas?
We have ShopKey Pro. 6.5.54 using windows 7 and HP P1102W printer

Try instead to set your default printer to XPS Document Writer before you run EoD next time. It should prompt you to save the files. Name them anything, and save them somewhere easy to get to, like the Desktop. Then open those up and see if they have the report data. If so, it's something about how printer is handling the report batching. Some printers do better spooling, some printing directly. Sometimes it's the driver. But if the XPS documents fail, then you're likely looking at a problem with one of the reports.

Just had a new thing happen. Tried to print the EOD after i deleted a duplicate printer (not sure why we had two of the same printers) but i think i need to change the default printer for the EOD but can not figure out how to do that. All the other reports are printing off the correct printer but the EOD keeps trying to send it to a printer thats not there and will not update to the correct default printer for the computer

Duplicate printer entries can be created when the printer's USB cable is plugged into a different USB port.

Check that this Printer setting is set to the actual printer and not it's invalid duplicate; EOD uses this setting.

I've checked the reports sections and the printer set up it shows the correct and only printer selected.
But when I click on EOD it says "Valid printer not selected or no printer to select" but there is only one printer on this computer and all the invoices, tech sheets and other reports list the printer that the EOD is supposed to use as well.
