Invoice Totals Miscalculation?

Post by hendersonauto »

Just had tech support help with a update and now my invoices are screwed up. They told me I had to chose a different invoice. Not only did the update not fix the fact that the discount is not broken out. But now the subtotal plus tax (which we do not have in Oregon and should be able to disable) adds up to a new and different $ amount. Try explaining new math to the Retirement communities that surround me. $134.55 labor plus $221.01 parts equals $355.56 plus $0.00 tax Equals $362.56 ?!? In what reality does that make sense to anyone.

Its not a shop fee or haz mat fee messing you up is it?

Hello,

I'd like to look at your database to determine what is happening. Could you PM me the details (Invoice # for example) so I can check it?

Rich it is the Haz Mat/waste disposal that is causing the problem. I shows in the body of the Invoice but not in the totals.

So it's not really a miscalculation then? It simply does not show in the subtotals leading to customer confusion? Do I have this correct?

We've identified the issue and are working to correct the subreport. The Hazmat is indeed missing from the report Henderson Auto is using. Hope to have a hotfix for it before the next update.

Hey Ric,
You are correct it si not a miscalculation as much as it not showing your work. Someone changed the subject line. Guess they did not like my reference to 3rd grade math. Yes it is customer confusion since the invoice add the subtotal and $0.00 tax (no tax in Oregon) and comes up with a new number. You can find the waste disposal fee if you look under Parts in the middle of the invoice but it does not show it even though it adds it after the subtotal. Hence 3rd grade math when we all had to show our work. IE how did you come up with this #
