We are printing the follow-up letters for this month... There are changes to the letters that surprised us.. we are not a fan of them. We are unable to do anything about it on our end.
1). The heading that has our information is no longer in the middle. It is on the left side. It does not look right or as professional.
2). Phone numbers- The phone number & fax number are really tiny at the bottom of the letter. You can barely see it.
Still having problems when deleting a customer from the follow-up list- it returns you to the top of the list... very frustrating.
Thanks, ARS

Re: Followup Letters - Do Not Like Changes
We have noted the delete and return to top of list issue previously and development will fix this in an upcoming update.
The left justified Shop Information placement was modeled after a Microsoft template for business letters. (I recognize it from school)
The simplest remedy is to restore the previous version of this follow up letter rpt file. I'm in trade show mode this week so time is limited; I'll let you know which file and where to copy it to.

Re: Followup Letters - Do Not Like Changes
Another issue we have found is when a customer has a capital letter in the middle of his name- the inside the letter it is not capital. We have it correct in Mitchell. It prints correctly on the labels. But in the address & the Dear... parts of the letters the customer's names are not spelled correctly. It happens on first & last names.
i.e.- Sam McNett or MeLissa Marker -Correct in Mitchell computer & on the Labels
but in the letters -it writes it as Sam Mcnett & Melissa Marker.
These misspellings on a person's name look unprofessional- like you don't even know how to spell my name correctly... why should I come back to you... especially on a new customer letter (but this happens on all of the letters in Follow-up)
We are not able to edit these letters...
Any way to fix this issue???
Running- 6.6.10
Thanks, ARS

I'll pass this along, has to do with case rules and how exceptions are handled. (I have it in my last name so I get it)

Re: Followup Letters - Do Not Like Changes
You would need a modified report template for sure. The template uses a normalization function called Propercase to ensure the first letter of each name is capitalized. This covers a less diligent user that inputs in all lowercase. For you, that's working against you by using lowercase in the rest of the name.
Which follow up template are you using? Standard or Expanded Vehicle? You can check under File > Print Setup > Follow-up Letters

We are using the Standard letter w. vehicle...
What does the expanded do?

Re: Followup Letters - Do Not Like Changes
Expanded changes the placement of vehicle information on a Recommendation letter. I would stick with what you're using.
