Tech worksheet check boxes

Post by dfeiker »

Howdy,

We sure love the check boxes on the expended tech worksheet, but we use old style clip boards, so the car information gets covered up by the clips. Using the brief worksheets solves the clipboard issue, but then we don't have those handy check boxes for the tech to make sure he hits all the labor requests.

We don't use repair orders much, but if they had check off boxes for each job & part, that would work also.

I guess it's a feature request, check box options for each job I want the tech to do on a given car. Formatted in a way we can use our standard (old style) clipboards.

Is that even possible, seeing as the reports are all designed by crystal reports?

We use those same clipboards and the same worksheets. We don't have any trouble. We just slide them down a bit. Real easy.

IMO, I'd rather do that than waste the paper space it would take to move everything down. Besides, with the multitude of clipboards out there, how far is far enough?

We tried that, boss says he doesn't like it. Changing the bosses mind when he sets his heels is a no-go. I do use the same clipboards as the one pictured, however we have several rows on the wall that are closely spaced so there can be no overhang. Thought I would see if there were any options here before I shop for a stack of new clipboards.

Ah, I see your dilemma. It could be done, but it would mean a redesign of the report for everyone. I've heard of this complaint before, so if enough people were to request it, it might happen.
