Customer # Printing On Invoice?
I have tried to search the board before I posted this - but it says I was using too many common words.
On the 7.0 update - the customer number now prints next to the customer name. Is there a way to turn this off?
I did the update last night & so far today I have had three customers ask what the # was behind their name.

You cannot turn this off. It's part of the Invoice.
I'm not a fan of this appearing on the Invoice.

Re: Customer # printing on Invoice 7.0
Maybe it could eventually get spaced over ...... or placed in a less conspicuous place? I might be missing something, but I don't know why anyone would need to know the customer number....

Thank you for this patch. I am a new shop, and this was especially frustrating when the customer numbers are 1,2,3 etc. Jones, Bob #2 looks bad.

Hi Johnny - do we have to keep installing the invoice after updates? I see the customer numbers are back again after the last update.

I too have some custom invoices and I can tell you that they need to be re-installed after updating.

Customer Number is a Good Idea, For Company to be Able To Pay There Account through There Bank Just Like You would Pay A Utility. Without Account Numbers The Bank Will Not Let You Set This form Of Payment. I Agree It Would Be Better Placed In A Box Labelled Account Number.

Re: Customer # Printing On Invoice?
Here is what we did for the 7.2 release invoice template, which support signature capture from credit card terminal.
1. "Fax" label will not print if no fax number entered for shop
2. Driver and phone prints if exist
3, 4, Engine Hour In and Out print if exist
5. 0 dollar line items print extended amount as "n/c"
6 Customer number tucked for those that don't like to see it
7. Signature line stylized with rounded corner box (This area now includes electronic signature and credit card authorization info)
Total box also stylized
8. Shops web address shows if entered for shop (also clickable on PDF copy sent via email)
9. Shop email receives same treatment as #8

Re: Customer # Printing On Invoice?
I like the updates. One question - is it possible to be able to not print the time by the signature line?

Re: Customer # Printing On Invoice?
The "Time _________" is easily removed, kind of silly if you ask me. I don't ever recall seeing other systems that have the time next to the signature. Would any users complain?

None here. I usually tell my customers to skip it anyway.

I would prefer the time not to be included
