Reference #s Missing From INV?

There is a section to put a reference number on an invoice. I need it on there for accounting purposes for commercial accounts. The reference number has always printed on our invoices but now it does not. Is there a way to get it to print on the invoice again?

The Reference # field is still available on Invoices when the field contains data; dynamically it disappears like a few other fields if left blank. The location was changed to make room for other additions on the templates:
