Inventory Reports Showing Profit Margin?

Post by jhenry »

I'm curious if there is an inventory report that is laid out similar to the "non stock parts purchased" report which shows quantity, cost, retail, profit amount, and most importantly profit margin percentage. I know the inventory parts aren't actually sold yet, but it would be a great tool to check and adjust profit margins at a glance. I have opened up each report under inventory, but can't seem to find anything even remote close to the "non stock parts purchased" report.

Am I missing something here???

If you are using the parts matrix, your margins are already set for you and should be where you want them. This is the best method to maintain your desired margin. That being said, there will always be some parts that you set the sell price manually. For those, I use the Inventory Price Deviation report to identify and make adjustments. The deviation report is a 4 page report vs. a 760 page report for my inventory. Much easier.
