Rev by GL code report - by shift?

Post by Rich »

I was looking to see if I can print/View the "revenue By GL Code" by shift. I am not finding it, am i missing it? Or is it not an option?

Rich,

I wouldn't say that's a typical report to look at on a shift basis, but it is an option on the End of Day report setup.

i understand, but its the "only" report that gives me exactly what I need for EOD. My problem is.....The report runs only for said date. Here is my issue

10-24-2019 17:30 Close shop, run report, do books.
10-24-2019 18:00 (i am gone) customer comes in while the boss i here. He takes care of customer, that invoice has 10-24-2019 date.

10-25-2019 17:30 close shop, run report. books don't balance because yesterdays invoice (10-24) does not show up on the 10-25 report.

Thinking If i could run a "shift report, that would pick up that invoice from the day before.

We run another EOD report the next morning for the previous day so it picks up the add-on.

I've thought of that, but not sure I want to get up that much earlier in the day! The 45 minute drive is enough.

Oh, ok. I think I see the issue now. If you do run the Revenue report using the EoD, then shift option, it works as you describe. If I understand you're trying to manually specify times when running the report though?

Correct, If i could run report for 17:30 yesterday to 17:30 today, it would catch all of the "after we closed" invoices.

Please ignore that last dump question, I found it. And it appears at one point I somehow tagged certain reports to print......

I bet I was a brilliant guy once in my life. but i sure don't remember it.
