Part Report

Can I bring up a report on any inventory part I have? If so, how? If not, why not? I need this report.

What information are you looking to have on the report? We have quite a few different reports for Inventory.

Ok, so I have a part 51358XP Wix Oil Filter. I would like to bring up a report that tells me when I used that filter and the invoice number and or customer name and vehicle. Then, I can click on that info and go right to the invoice. Furthermore, I want to be able to bring up a report that I can customize the date parameters on it for different times than just the last 12 months. When I was using QuickBooks, it was so easy to create and customize a report like this but with this system, I haven't found out yet how to make this happen.

If you're looking for the invoice and customer information based off a date range. You can use the Part Number Search under the Management Tab. The report will return the following: Vehicle, Customer, Date, Engine, Inv#, Mfg, Trans, Vendor, Vendor Inv#. We do not have a way to click in a report and take you to the invoice number.

Ok, so I tried this an, while it works, it makes me use the scenic route to get to where I want to be. If there is no other way to customize the search and go to the invoice directly, I am forced to use this.

Has there ever been much interest in making the search easier?

The only other way to search for parts is under the F4 (Find history) but this part search is only by Part Description not by Part Number. With using the Part Description search in F4 (Find History) you'd be able to click right into the invoice details of the orders that have it.

Ok, that is an option but how much would be involved to use a part number in addition to part description?

That is a great question. I can take the feedback to the development team to see if that would be something that could be added in a future update.
