Accounts Receivable A/R Report

Does anyone know how to run a report that displays the accounts receivable balance for a historical point in time?

The AR Aging Detail / History / Summary reports provide the total AR balance but only for the time the report is run and not a custom point in time.

I am trying to run a report that will indicate the balance at the end of the month so I can reconcile it against my QuickBooks balance.

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Accounts Receivable is indeed a live figure in our application. You are not missing anything.

This is why we run an AR report daily as a part of our End Of Day. It then gets scanned as a pdf and entered onto our server. Always have an AR value for any day.
