Report Listing Customer Remarks?

Hi - I am wondering if there is possibly a way to get a report that shows customers with something in the remarks field?

We have a discount program that we make note of in that field, but would like an easier way to find which customer has that listed.

The best way to track a Discount is to create Discount Coupons under "Packages and Discounts", then add them to the work orders using Promos\Promotions Sales. The Discount Summary report will give you a breakdown of discounts used.

It's true that the discount summary report will give you a list of customers who have USED the discount, but unfortunately it will not list customers who are eligible. I think that is what you are looking for, yes?

Can you describe the discount? How is it used? To what is it applied? Maybe we can come up with something.....

What we have is the local school sold discount cards for a fundraiser. The customer has to buy it each year to get the discounts. I make a note in the remarks field after seeing the card the first time, so we don't have to see the card each time. Some customers have not bought the new cards so it list the 2012 information in there - I would like to be able to get rid of the old information when it is no longer relevant. (Also so they don't get the discount when they are no longer eligible.)

When they use the discount we do track it in the software.

I figured you'd use the discount as the program intended. :)

Interesting. How exactly have you identified this in remarks? Is the expiration date included? And what kind of discount? Does it apply to all their vehicles? Dollars off? Percentage off?

I think you could export customer data to Excel and then search that field for a keyword (something you used as an original identifier)?

On the remark field we list "2012 Thunder Card $2 off LOF" to remind us they have the card & to give them the discount. As it is just on oil changes - we don't want to just add the discount to their whole account.

I would like to go thru & remove the notes on the expired ones so we don't get lazy & think it said 2013 & give the discount when it actually is from a couple years ago.

Gotcha. At least it does say 2012, eh?

Personally I would change them as I go. Might be handy to know who *had* one of these and no longer does.
