Invoice Profit Summary - Negative Percentages?
Invoice Profit Summary - Negative Percentages?
On the Invoice Profit Summary report it will show a negative 'Amount' for the RO yet a 0 for the percentage. Is it possible to have it show an actual negative percentage as it should be?

What version of Manager are you running?
If I understand you correctly, you have the Percent numbers on the left OK but your $Amount on the right always reads 0.00?
Take a look at this sample below and confirm this is what you're referring to:

Manager SE Version 6.4
Yes, this is correct, but it is backwards. The amount will show the actual negative amount but the percentage will always says 0% rather than something like -5.2.
Attached is an example. It doesn't happen all the time. This one shows one as a zero and another % as a proper negative.
It appears that it only happens on sales that are $0 - if that helps. but obviously a free oil change should still have a negative effect on our bottom line.

Got this response from support:
"It is the formula of the report. Profit divided by sale = percentage. If sale amount = 0, this would create a divide by zero situation; a mathematical impossibility. The formula of the template would need to be reworked to account for that."

Re: Invoice Profit Summary - Negative Percentages?
Interesting. Remember that a percentage is a comparison of 2 numbers. If one of them is zero, well, you know the answer. But the dollar total is still there, so that's the number you'll use to see the 'bottom line effect'. More importantly, the grand totals on that report should be the focus. While the individual job cannot calculate a percentage, the total amount is accurate and the total profit percantage is also.
Thanks for bringing this up. I've never noticed this before.
