Use the Post button at the bottom of your WIP screen to post the order. Monthly you can run one of the Balance Due reports found on the Accounting tab under Reports.

Which program do you receive the payment, QuickBooks or Mitchell? and if in Mitchell, where in there?

In Manager, you'd receive the payment to clear the charge and keep the records straight. You'd also do the same in QB, depending on your process.

Personally, I don't track any receivables in QB. I do it ALL in Manager, but that's a personal choice.

Press F5, go to the "name" spot and enter name. It will bring up the outstanding amount there.

How do you do your deposits and reconciliation of your checkbook?

I enter one number into QB every day, and that is my collections. All my bills are hand entered into QB. I reconcile my checkbook in the normal matter.
