Merging 2 vehicles together

Post by TurboTim »

Customer told us a vehicle was a 2007. We now have 2 workorders as a 2007 but we also have 2 workorders with the VIN in and its a 2008. How can I combine the two?

Do you have two separate vehicles, or just the wrong year on history invoices?

Same customer but it would also be nice to know how to join 2 customers that are the same but have 2 accounts.

i use an ez method. for the same car under the same name. Write down the correct license plate number. I find the car with the least amount of history. i change the plate on this vehicle to "wrong1" the car with the most history I make the plate "right1". Go into the history of "wrong1" and unpost an invoice, invoice is now re-opened, i go to customer scene and click on "right1" and post to that vehicle. I repeat until all of the history in "wrong1" is now in "right1". now delete the "wrong1" as a vehicle, correct the plate back to what you wrote down on the "right1".

Thanks, Rich. Your method worked perfect for me.
