Hello every one just a quick question maybe its me or is the system functions this way...
I am trying to create a series of canned jobs that are vehicle specific. So i have a 2003 Econoline E150 with a 4.2L and I go to the canned job section, the E150 doesn't show up automatically it only shows Year:2003 Make:Ford Model: Econoline.
My canned jobs are Ign-102 indicating Ignition service. If i try to create a job for a Econoline with no E150 it automaticly creates it as (Model: All). Dose the system automatically not put the E150 on the Model??. I mean if i click the canned jobs the exact year, make and model should come up right. or do i have to choose the correct model. Am i making any sense???
Just a little frustation
Rick...

Re: Having issue with canned jobs
Welcome to the Forum.
It would seem that the complete model attribute is not carried over from the WIP screen to the Canned Job list. This also occurs with Pickups, as only the word Pickup is brought over and not the additional attribute of F150, F250 etc. I also found this to be true for Chevys (2500, 3500), Toyotas (SR5, etc.), Chrysler and every other vehicle on my WIP that had a trim level or weight designation. I do not know why this is, but perhaps someone from Mitchell could go into detail.
I created a canned job using the complete model attribute by manually selecting it. When I subsequently searched for it from the WIP, which only brought over half of the attribute (Pickup only), it was still found.
I suggest that if you want that level of detail when creating a canned job, manually select the model to match your vehicle.
