Assign Default Tech In Canned Job?

So we are a smog shop that has a single smog technician. I wanted to set a default technician for the canned job of smog to that technician. When I edit, or create a new canned job it defaults to "assign on RO" and the drop down box shows only that option, it will not show any of the technicians. What can I do to create/edit this to automatically show that tech only?

I've never tried this before, but it would appear that the program will not allow you to define a tech at this stage.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post.

You cannot assign a tech at the Canned Job level. The current architecture will pick up the technician assignment when it hits the Order screen. It would be a significant change to have this tech assignment hard coded to the Canned Job to be used in place of the default or selected tech on the order. It has been discussed as part of a By-The-Job re-architecturing of the database; there is no time frame for this at this time.
