Which service writer accepted payment?

Post by Jimmy@DGB »

We are having an issue with our service writers accepting payments incorrectly and no one wants to admit anything. Is there a way to figure out which user/service writer accepted a specific payment?

Does each writer have their own password? Can't you password protect payment screen?

They do. And I don't think so, but even if you could we don't want to unless it would allow us to track who is accepting the payments.. They're adults who've been here for years, they're just careless sometimes and want to give them a good shaming.

I do not think that data is captured.

We're going to try and start the initialing thing, but the issue we had yesterday was someone marked an invoice paid without collecting any money and posted it without printing a copy. It showed up on the end of day report, but there were no hard copies of anything to match it up to and the credit card machine end of day report was short the invoice amount. We don't think it was anything shady, just someone not paying attention to what they were doing as usual.

Well, if they don't print it, they sure won't initial it!

I guess i'd skip right to putting shock collars on them, I little "poke" will straighten them right up!
