Warranty Option

I would like an option in the Order Options menu for warranty tracking and recording. As of right now, we dont have a way to properly document warranties which is rather unbelievable to me. Every shop has warranties and not having a way to document and track them is a big problem. Right now I have to either discount everything, which is incorrect, or change a payment type and record it as income, which is also wrong. This second option makes me have to remove the taxes from the order and have my accountant remove all of that "income" at the end of the year. It is long been time for us to have this option.

Would you mind clarifying your post for me? When you're referring to warranty work in this context, do you mean in-house warranty work (e.g., reman starter you've had to replace 3 times all on your dime) or reimbursement from third-party warranty companies?

Good point. I am referring to in house warranties.
