SE How To Email Closed Invoice?

Post by stacey.piedra »

We have used pdfFactory in the past for emailing estimates, invoices, statements, etc. We have just updated to 6.4 and the email function is shown for repair orders but not closed or charged invoices. I've checked the settings and don't see where I can change it for these invoices or for statements. Do I just need to use pdfFactory for these items or am I missing something?

Thanks!

You don't need pdf Factory in SE, just use the Email button.

It sounds like you're in the History tab which doesn't have an Email button, but you can use the Export button in the upper left corner of the Print Preview. Then select pdf from drop list and name it. Save it to Desktop or other familiar place to send as attachment.

Tim,
Yes, I'm using the History button.
I had been trying to export but some of my customers can't open the format I'm using.
Now that I know this is the way to go, I'll play with the formats and see what works.
Thanks,
Stacey

You have to select Adobe Acrobat (*.pdf) to get the proper format:
