Re: Removing Test Estimate Customers?
Welcome to the forum and thanks for your questions.
There is a demo version for SE to experiment with, we'll get to that in a minute.
To remove the Estimate(s):
1. Open the EST on the Order screen
2. Click Edit menu, select Remove Estimate
3. Confirm removal with YES
Repeat for each estimate to remove
If the customer records are legit, keep them. If not, here are the steps
1. Click the Utilities menu, select Customer screen
2. On Customer Screen, click the Name button to locate the customer in the list
3. With customer record visible, click Edit menu, select Remove Customer
4. Confirm removal with YES;
5. Confirm remove Vehicle(s) with YES
Repeat for each customer/vehicle(s) to remove
Now, to access the SE Demo version, here are the steps:
1. Click the WIP button until the blue "home" appears
2. Click Configurations Menu, select Special Maintenance, then Toggle Demo Mode, answer Yes.
This requires a program restart so SE will close. When you restart it you will see a Demonstration Mode indication that moves out of your way as you work on the screen(s).
This provides new users with sam-ple orders, customers, vehicles, inventory, etc. to experiment with. (there is no data shared between the two databases)
To Switch back to live version, repeat the Special Maintenance steps above.
Manager SE includes 38 training videos under the Training Videos icon in the top toolbar, the product box includes two workbooks, F1 Help on every screen and lots more.
Welcome aboard!

Re: Removing Test Estimate Customers?
Well just so you know I started my day by reading this, going to my work in progress screen, clicked on "purge estimates" on the bottom of the screen, window opened up and i thought i pressed cancel. NFW Steve, should pay attention, I clicked on OK. Wham, all estimates gone to never never land. Yes I started backing up every night so if iI need them i can retrieve them. This is a typical issue with me trying things out, a learning curve at best.

Thanks so much for the help. I need to watch these videos but we have been so damned busy I haven't had the time (good thing right) I guess I should install the program on my laptop and do it at home.

Never said i was a computer genius. Just thought it was helpful. Sorry, probably this is why I rarely respond to questions like this. I'll be more prudent in the future.

You should password protect the Purge button.
